My sister told me tonight what she is getting me for Christmas! A TATTOO! Here is a picture of the font. It will go on the right side of my neck! From just below my right ear, to almost my adams apple!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The font is based off of the artwork from an artist named Ralph Steadman.

Sure glad its not a naked lady walking around on your neck:eek::wink::biggrin:!

I got my first tat when I was 18 (too many years ago). It was a butterfly (so cliche) on my chest and I don't remember it hurting so much. Thru age and gravity It has since turned into a dead moth:frown:. Got another a few years ago placed much more strategically on my leg. MAN it was painful, got thru it but won't be getting any more. Good luck with yours, I like the meaning :).

That was funny!!! My wife also has the Infamous butterfly chest tattoo... well actualy, she has two butterflies on her chest.

I got my first tattoo when i was about 14. It was done with the ole needle and black India ink. I did it myself, two little letters on my arm. It has just snowballed from there. I plan to one day be covered from the neck down. I have a Samoan style body piece that will go from the waiste down and covers almost everything...

I have plans for an elaborate "Ode to Oklahoma" for my back, that will be like a landscape portrait complete with a pond, an oil rig, a Scissor Tail, White bass jumping out of the water, winter wheat waving in the pasture. The works. Very busy tattoo!

Needless to say, The pain doesn't bother me too much. In fact, I kinda dig it (usually). I do have a tattoo on my rib cage/stomach/side that was SOOOOOOOOOOOO incredibly painful. It was a miserable experience, but worth every second. That particular tattoo has alot of personal meaning.

What? No tramp stamp?

I've got a buddy with a koi pond around both upper thighs.

I cringe whenever I think about how that felt. ALL the way around both thighs up to the crotch.

:shudder:

I too got my first one when I was around 14. India ink, needle and thread. I later got it covered since it was on my hand. Since I ended up getting a few more, 16 to be exact including a full boot (A Japanese scene from my ankle to my mid thigh. My brother and I had a lot of friends who were/ still are tattoo artists, so we would hang out at the shops and with them, and get free ink.

The last one I got was a few years back in memory of my brother Sean who died about 3 years ago. It is a life/death anagram. You look at it one way it says death, upside down it says life. He had it on his forearm, so I got mine done in the same spot..

On the neck is perfect. Maybe some barbed wire / razor wire Too but surrounding the family as if it's "protected" and have the wire wrap all up the side of your face and make it look like it's digging into the skin with blood coming out.

My mother had a small butterfly done on her buttocks over 50 years ago. Dad says it looks like a 747 now:embarrassed:

I was with you till it started climbing my head. The razor wire idea is kinda cool, but i'm not Mike Tyson. The face, even for me, is pretty extreme... Maybe when i'm 60 or so.

LOL I was going to keep going LOL by adding the barbed wire tearing at the flesh exposing skull with a snakes head bla bla. ETC....

Basically a horrific piece that would turn a nice family tat into OHHH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT GUY:eek::eek:
I have a few tats as well but nothing crawing onto my face either. Little too RISKAY IMHO.. Especially in my line of work.
