Hi guys,
I think I posted my casting setup a while ago when I made it. This is my updated casting setup. I hope this post will help some people trying to get started with casting.
I now have 3 pots. 2 harbor freight pots and 1 CA technologies pot. I started out with just the one pot that was built into the cabinet. I regret doing this, because it is insanely hard to level the pot and secure it down to the bottom. I have a shelf for all of my dyes and powders to keep track of them instead of taking up space on the table. I have space underneath my cabinet for storing all of my molds, rubber, cups, sticks, etc etc. I use bike racks to hang my pot lids off of. I also have a table at the other end of the shop for staging all of my pine cones and cutting up my wood for rainburls.
Since the 40 lb containers of alumilite are too big to do anything with it. I made a station where I can pour it into smaller containers that are usable.
Anyway, I hope this helps some of you out in the future. If you have any suggestions on anyway that I could make my setup better I would love to hear them.
SORRY for the sideways pictures. I don't know why they turn. My phone is dumb sometimes.
