My brother has turned several tulipwood pens. He revisited the local Woodcraft and purchased two more tulipwood blanks. From the outside, they both looked unremarkable. I think we were both stunned with what emerged from the first blank.
While not experts by any means, we have yet to see a tulipwood blank with such color. The finish is two coats of CA.
Thanks for looking and all replies and critiques are welcome. My photo is not ideal, but it was the best I could do with what I had to work with at the time.
