How many forumites use Mozilla Firefox and what do you think of it?
I have ambivalent feelings about it. I find that when it's good it's very good and when it's bad it's horrid.
I get best results when there is less net traffic but when there is heavy net traffic I revert to Internet Explore.

I've used Moz in its various iterations for about 4 years now. I have no complaints - love it. The tabbed browsing, robust pop-up blocking, and availability of plugins are the main attractions for me. I only use Internet Exploder to test newly-uploaded web pages for compatability.

I'm not sure why you would have problems during high traffic times.

Cheers.

I try firefox every once in awhile for a period long enough to make up my mind they have not improved it enough for me. Firefox likes to take over different aspects of my computer which I do not like, it also puts spyware on my computer. I do not need the trouble getting my computer working the way I want again!!!!

I use firefox exclusively at my home PC and love it. The tabbed browsing really cuts down on the number of open windows for me. And the different plugins really help make up for its very few shortcomings.

I have been using Mozilla for almost 8 years and really appreciate all of its features. AdBlock Plus is the best thing since sliced bread. It takes care of all those annoying Flash ads. Like Kevin and Karl, I only use IE to check web pages compatibility.

I have been using Firefox since it came out. I love it and only use IE when I must.

redbulldog I am unsure of what spyware you are referring to, I run different spyware programs and have never found one linked to firefox. After installing Firefox I noticed a huge decline in spyware that IE gets.

I see some of you mention tabbed pages in Firefox. the latest version of IE ( Mine anyway) has tabbing and the first tab can show you thumbnails of pages you have open.

Its a lot better than it used to be

This is true, but in general I hated the layout of IE7. It just made my eyes hurt and as an IT professional it made me want to cry.

I use FF and really like it. Our forum software as well as others I visit have a problem or two with it. For instance, when inserting an emocicon into a reply it always goes to the end the text and quoted text and it must be cut and pasted where it should have been. There is another one or two, but I can't remember what they are at the moment.
Do a good turn daily!

I use Firefox on the Mac and am quite happy with it. One reason I don't use other browsers is that I can select a word in the current tab and right-click it to do a Google search and have it come up in a 'background' tab. So, I can be reading an article or whatever and do a series of Google searches in the background without breaking my train of thought. Pretty cool.

I think the way IE7 has implemented tabs is lame compared to Firefox.

Firefox is my default browser. I only use IE when forced.

The spyware referred to might be the optional google toolbar.

IE has been trying to play catch up and finally got some tabs.
