Cigar Pen in my favorite wood, Yellowheart. This was the first pen I didn't use carbide cutters ( used a really small pen traditional kit - Hamlet by Henry Taylor) somehow it worked terrific 😀
I am wondering something. I purchased several of these kits from Exotic. Some twist in either direction (you need to stop in middle to have insert retracted) and some kits only twist in one direction. I think the double twist ones are the cheapest kits but I really do not know. Does anyone know?
If you saw the other thread from yesterday; I moved on from the Vesper

Thanks Don, funny, I like the single direction ones.

Ed sells both Single Action and Double Action Transmissions for Cigar Pens at Exotic Blanks for about a dollar each. I keep some of each on hand so that I can choose depending on what my preference is for the day. For example, if I am planning on converting the pen to a pencil with one of the Schmidt adapters, I will opt for the Single Action as it just seems to make using the pencil mechanism more intuitive. I've never really equated it to the cost or quality of the kits. - Dave
