More segmenting practice

The first two attempts were inspired by the fishing rods in the seg pictures only thread.It is an octogon glueup that either looks like a butterfly yoyo or a spider web depending on whether the blank is cross cut or straight grain.The 3rd one was inspired by an article in the library.8 ring knot in the center with 4 ring knots to either side.

Thanks fellas.I'll have to use a better combination of woods next time I do a web design,then maybe it'll turn out more to my liking.Good practice though.
