Here are some more recent castings. All are from silmar 41 PR. My delimma is that I really like how the big slab looks uncut with the colors just showing through. I'll cut it up eventually but for now I'll admire it. I also added a couple extra pics of the bottom blank to show how there are turquiose viens going througout the blank. I'm debating on what kit to use it on (any suggestions?) Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions. (for those new to casting).

I suppose you could re-saw them on a really good band saw and turn them
into tiles. Light them from behind.

Can't answer, but you have some nice looking casts there. I just got to give this a try. Look like fun. Which reminds me of a question but I will ask it in a new thread.

I really like all of these!

That slab might make a really good looking shaving soap holder. How thick is it?

Thanks everyone...Andy, I'd have to say it's about 1 3/4 thick. It is rounded on the side shown from the pan I used. I went ahead and cut it up into some blanks. It was alot like cutting up a burl. Dunno if anyone remembers my scorcher blanks: But thats what that huge slab was . I'll be posting some pics in a couple mins for everyone.

Beautiful casting work! I have a couple of blanks that I just turned round and keep them on the bench - love to look at them.

The tile idea is great. Just polishing the block would have been cool, too.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.:)
