I looked in the library and may have overlooked it. There was an article or post about making your casting molds from silocone but, putting the silicone in a bucket with water and soap to work it alittle.

1st- does anyone have the link. Like I said I may have over looked it or it was listed as something other than what I'm thinking.

2nd - has anyone done this where they put all the silicone in the water to work it then press it into the mold had had success? wondering how it cures in relation to just pressing it in the mold in one shot. Does it eliminate some of or most of the air buddbles.

Thanks for the help all
Jesse

the theory is totally sound. It's like caulking your bath tube. silicone does not stick to water and soap, so therefore it does not get stuck to your wet soapy hands. Otherwise though..the silicone he is using is not what most people would use for casting molds. You wouldn't be able to use a technique like that with normal casting silicone.
