Is it possible to mix colours of mica to get other colours,eg Can I mix red and yellow to get orange like you can with paint?
Just thought I'd ask before messing up a batch of resin and mica to try it.:rolleyes:
Anybody Know????

Yes but it is very difficult to get the correct shade. If you're going to, do so by adding small amounts of each color in first. Id use like 1-2oz of resin to play with first. Personally I use micas and dyes to match custom colors. Also...white will not brighten a color. It'll make it pastel instead damhik!

thanks for the rapid responses,I had a sneaky feeling it would be possible, but I kept talking myself out of it:rolleyes:.
Now I have the perfect excuse to go and play tomorrow:biggrin::biggrin:

You can also do this with paint and get some really crazy unexpected results...like if you take blue paint and add gold mica you get something really weird. I like red paint with blue russet.
