I'm looking to buy this Bosch mitre saw and I'm wondering if the holes shown in the pictures are where the material clamps go. The ad says there's no clamps included so I'll have to get them myself.

Are these the clamp holes and are they generally available aftermarket?

It always helps when asking questions about something to include the model number. I believe these are where clamps go but believe they are unavailable any more. You maybe able to find some weird aftermarket ones that may work or just make something on your own.

Yes, those holes are for a bar or t-post type of hold down. My Bosch 10-inch Miter Saw uses 16mm hold down clamps. I think the hole must be 17mm as with the knurl on my clamps they measure 16.5mm and still fit somewhat loosely in the hole. I"m guessing that most 16mm T-Post Clamps would work with it. Or, try fitting a 5/8 inch threaded rod into the hole (i think it should fit since 5/8 is 15.9mm, then you could make your own.

Of course you would need to measure the holes to make sure they are somewhere larger than 16mm but not much larger than 17mm.

Regards,
Dave
