Just throwing it out there, someone might turn them. I know a few of you turn make-up brushes. Why not turn a small mirror with a 3" bevelled mirror in the same material as the brush??

I just got through turning some ordered from Packardwoodworks.

Trying to make a mirror out of one peice of wood not so good.

Turning the mirror holder and handle separately much easier op for me.

Lots of fun.

There are turned hand murrors (round with recess for mirror) with a bit more depth than then mirror - small sizes for purse or pocket. There is also a style of generally larger mirrors with stands or handles. 3 inches is in between to pocket size -- 4 inch or larger is generally handled or on stand.

Good place for some face place and jam chuck work. There is an adhesive for mounting glass sold by several places that sell mirrors -- well worth it -- but alternatvies are silicone adhesives.

Yep, I had a tough time getting the wood polished enough to use it as a mirror, then it cracked on me. (wink) Thank the Lord I was wearing safety goggles! Now that I "reflect" on it, I probably should have stuck with pens.

Is it still 7 years bad luck if you crack a wood mirror?
