Ok, so we have been doing some casting and with the help of the members here we have learned to use pearlex, and some from coastal scents. The question that I have is it seems that all of the colors we use has a glittery look to it. I was wondering if there is a speacial section in coastal scents to find just the plain color with out the sparkely look. Or is there another company that you must order from to get the regular colors. Not that I dont like it we do. I just wanted to use the regular colors on the blanks. Any help would be welcome.
Thanks
Chris

Any boat shop will have resin dyes.......more than you ever thought existed. I myself have not tried it but someone here mentioned oil paint as a colorng agent?????

should be a bunch of caster on in a sec, helpful guys!

I am curious. I know that the powder pigment takes only a little bit and can last quite awhile. How does this liquid pigment do. Does it take alot to create the color and does it blendlose well. I havehave seen someone useout the dyes at michaelsthe for thethe resin and i was not enthusied about how it looked. QUOTE=Bobalu;1309575]US Composites sells pigments that don't have the sparkle. Try this link:

A PR question I can answer.

A little goes a long way. You can get individual colors in small tubes or larger amounts in little jars. You might even find it at Auto Zone or NAPA, our NAPA carries it. Probably be cheaper than an art store.

As someone already mentioned, Douglass and Sturgess. http://www.artstuf.com

Many of the colors in my Resin Color Library are done with pigments from there.
