Mica Powders

Hi all,
I,ve recently started making my own blanks using PR and colouring them with a cosmetic grade mica powder. I,ve been very pleased with the results, however i,m looking at using the Jacquard Pearl Ex powders. Does anyone have any experience with these and can possibly offer a comparison between cheap mica and Pearl Ex. Thanks in advance.

I use mica from Coastal Scents and Pearl Ex. CS mica doesn't seem to have the brilliance of PE...but it would take a very decerning eye to notice. Price alone makes the CS well worth it....IMHO of course

I don't see a real difference. Pearl x has some colors that are different, but I really haven't noticed enough of a difference to make it worth the extra expense. If you're only making some blanks for fun, then it won't really make much of a difference. But when you start buying in bulk, you'll probably switch to mica powder.
