I thought I was going to be clever... I remembered a thread about taking a small lathe to Brazil... when I looked it up, it was you... so I guess I'm not so clever after all..

Brazilia and Lima
Hi all,
I know of another person out in Brazil with a lathe that "was looking" to learn. We were in training together prior to him going to Brazilia. Is SP close to there? Would like to email him and let him know that there is someone he might ask to learn from.
On a similar topic, does anyone know if there is anyone but me in Peru (Lima specifically). While I have made and sold a few pens, would love to have someone close that could help me a) find a lathe I can use (being in an apartment isn't conducive to useing a lathe) and b) having someone to talk pens/turning with and to share what we know.:redface:

Brasilia, IIRC, is about in the middle of the country, while Sao Paulo is further south. Also, SP is the name of the province/state that the city of Sao Paulo (and many other towns) are located in.

Thanks for the responses, folks. I took a lathe with me last year and have been sending kits as they need them. I was hoping to find a member there and see how they get their supplies, whether there is someone there who might wholesale kits for them. I will try to send a pm to the folks you all found. Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to do that. Y'all are the best!
