I have been trying to convert to MEKP by volume rather than drops/oz. I have all the materials I need but now I need a new container with a larger top for my MEKP because my syringe will not go into the container.

My MEKP comes in a small sealed bottle without a removable top but only a cap. My syringe is not long enough to get down to the MEKP level in the bottle so my thought was to put the MEKP in a different container so that I can insert the syringe to get the correct amount.

Does anyone else store MEKP in anything other than the container they received it in? Does MEKP oxidize if left exposed to the air? I think I read that somewhere...

I meausre my by volume in a syringe. It comes in a screw top container. The syringe won't go in. I pour a little into the cap and suck it up with the syringe. You could try just pouring a little into another container. Once you haveyour syringe filled, pour the rest back into the bottle. I've not had any adverse effects of doing this.
The MEKP is an oxydising agent, so it will combine rapidly with most stuff it contacts (including airbourne stuff ... like ... air). So keep it closed. I've read elsewhere that it becomes innefective after prolonged exposure to UV (sunlight).
