Hi all this is just a notification to save a date for the May Pen Club meeting. We were unable to setup the field trip to Got Wood for May 5th but Hans was able to set it up for 2:00pm on May 12th. Brad will be waiting on us. If you would like to car pool send out some email feelers. This date should work out well since the time will not compete with the members that are also members of the Palmetto Wood-turners. Directions and meeting places will be forthcoming. SAVE THE DATE
 
May field trip

Hi All,

Our field trip is on for May 12th at 2:00pm at Got Wood.
We plan to meet at Fred's 4905 Emerson St.
HODGES, SC 29653
At 1:45pm.
If for some reason you don't make it to Fred's before we go to Got Wood the address to Got Wood is, 80 Winn Rd. Donalds, SC 29638.

Hans, Thank you for setting up the field trip to Got Wood.
Brad and Mike did a great job showing us their facility, they gave us a demonstration of their saw mill and then talked about how they select what to cut for the blanks, the kiln is a neet piece of equipment also. Once the demonstration was done they turned us loose on their scrap pile. I am sure everyone got a good selection for pen blanks. We then went in their new shop to look at and purchase the completed bowl blanks and spindle blanks.
