I am just getting into segmenting. Are there any commercially available materials to use as separators for segments? I am talking about very thin material that can be glued to wood or plastic.

Old credit/debit cards, etc.

Aluminum sheet from building supply store - used for roof repairs, etc.
Cut up a beer or pop can for really thin sheet.

I like to use veneer. It is porous and holds glue better than plastic or metal. But sometimes I use plastic or metal anyway.

I've used leftover aluminum flashing from when we built our house (I knew there was a reason I held onto it for 15 years :). I'm sure you could get some at a hardware store. I've seen other people use credit cards, gift cards or store "loyalty" cards.
