After a semi disastrous vacation, my wife and I swung by and visited with Gary and Margie Max, Gary's work is kind of OK but Margie's stuff is great (sorry Gary), any way we had a great time , and I saw the cutest bears on the side of a hill, I nearly put Gary through the windshield of my wife's car skidding into a driveway so I could get a better look at them, they were about the size of the mother and two cubs we had seen a few days earlier, they were so cute they just stood there like card board cut outs, but they weren't, they were Plywood, I was so em Bear ased Gary laughed so hard he couldn't Bear it!
Man is it great to be back home, I think I'll take another vacation in another 29 years, that's how long it was before this one, and now I remember why.
But Margie does some beautiful work, and Gary??? Hey what can I say, he's Gary!! and he isn't kidding about having a lot of wood, I came home with the back of my wife's Vue full.
And did I mention that Margie is a sweet lady?? and then there's Gary! But my wife is nice too, and then there's me!! I guess it's a Nice wife thing, and then there's me and Gary!!

The pictures I've seen of Margie's stuff leave me in awe. :good:Gary has a great selection of wood and makes some wicked turnings.:good: But the highlight of the trip had to have been your fascination with the plywood bears. :rotfl:

Gary.....Did you get pictures of the cute little critters, and Ken's reaction once he realized what they were??

The story I hear is Ken is driving along about 55mph. All of a sudden he slams the brakes like he just missed his pits in a Nascar race. Everyone gets whiplash, and he swears he just saw a bear and some cubs. So he does a U-Turn and uppon further inspection it some some very nice yard art made out of plywood. The whole time Gary's laughing so hard he almost falls out of the S.U.V. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Also Margie's shop is pretty nice. Did you happen to take home a pig or two???

I was laughing so hard as we did a Nascar turn around to see the bears I almost hurt myself. Oh Ken is right----he is a very lucky guy----Deb is a great gal, Margie sure enjoyed her company.

but the cut outs were in the shade and they looked like real bears and were cute, and I felt like a semi complete idiot one with a few parts missing, the heck of it was Deb and I had seen a sow and two cubs just about the same size a few days earlier in the Smokie Mountains and I guess I'll just grin and Bear it, Gary isn't one to soon forget things like this.

Several years back some men were arrested for illuminating and night hunting. All three were off duty cops. They shot at cardboard deer!

Well I was nice I didn't shoot at the plywood bears, I thought about shooting Gary but it's not his fault, he was getting un bearable :biggrin::biggrin:

That would of been the only way to stop the laughing.

I know, that's why, but after that insane buffet I found it in my heart to forgive you for your unbearable laughter, I noticed you didn't mention the BVD change. It really was funny, and I even got a good laugh from it.

by the way no pics? Sounds like a great trip

Here is a little less friendly bear for you.
