Well March 2025 will go down in my history book as one of my busiest months in 10 years. January entered with a roar, whimpered out in February and came on strong in March. Below are the photos of the stuff I made for several customers. Included in these photos are some knives I put together and will advertise them on my website (Once I get around to it). The photo on the left shows a custom box out of Walnut that I made for my son who's hobby is working on antique and old watches. This box was made to hold his winders and other stuff I have no idea of. The picture on the right has an interesting knife in it that is called a "Sharks Tooth" (top of photo in the middle). It's actually a boot knife but can be worn on a belt as it has a metal clip on the back. To make sure the knife doesn't slide out of the sheath when worn in a boot (it happened to me) I've installed a magnet in the back of the sheath to keep it in place. Nothing worse than a boot knife coming loose when you're walking and realize it could do some damage to your foot. This knife is legal in Montana either in a boot or on a belt but not all states allow them. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful works! I love the box. Did you make the (is it leather) insert in the right-hand compartment? Looks really wonderful.

Thanks Jon. You are correct, it is leather that I cut to fit and hand stamped. This was a challenge for me as this is the first time I've ever made something using only metric measurements.
Ah, its stamped. I thought it was stiching. Very nice. I've been learning to make boxes, and one of the first things I want to make once I have enough skill is a watch box with a drawer for wallet, glasses, keys, etc. I was thinking about using leather for the inserts that you wrap the watches around. Hadn't thought of stamping them, was originally thinking of maybe putting some stitching on them, but stamping might offer more interesting options...

Stamping will give you a ton of options. I hand stitch all my sheaths but that's about it. If you decide to use stitching try using braided dacron fishing line, works great and is extremely durable. I get mine from Bass Pro Shop. Lasts for a long time on the spool. I used to make jewelry boxes and humidors. Heck, sent a few to Europe but mostly the U.S. I quit after one lady (now ex friend) slammed my work so hard that I said forget it and moved to knives, just now getting back into boxes. I've got a Koa one I'm working on that I made years ago to go along with a set of steak knives. I'm looking forward to working on it.
