Maple from Pecan & Walnut from Oak (street)????

This is a maple bowl that I recycled from a downed tree off Pecan Street. The bowl developed 2 serious cracks, so I chopped off the offending area
and laminated 2 pieces of walnut from a tree I recycled off Oak Street!
It has 4 coats of polyurethane clear finish & 2 coats of Minwax's Wipe-On Poly.

Beautiful bowl & great save with that walnut laminate - it really works well with the maple.

Great save, it came out really pretty and unique. The walnut pieces make great accents.
