Hello All, Happy 4th of July!
I am new to the IAP. I have some experience with turning, but not pens. Maybe soon.
I was cleaning up the shop and thought I could process some of the residual manzanita into blanks. It has been stored inside for several years and is all well dried. I ran it through the bandsaw so the sizing is slightly variable, but it is 3/4 inch plus, and 5 inches long.
It is a wonderful wood, but finding/cutting crack-free blanks is a real challenge. The larger stack is pretty much crack free, although there are one or two worm holes and other interesting imperfections. The smaller stack should also allow for pens, although there are a few cracks (probably far enough on the edge) and other imperfections.
Please direct message me with any interest.
Thanks, Mark
