Kind of reminds me of the first time I went to Vegas. Everyone kept saying, there's no humidity out there. When it's 125 it doesn't matter, it's friggin hot, humidity or not.

Jeesh!!! Don't tell me about the damned rain and heat!!!
I'm in Taunton (UK) trying to test some outdoor 400kv circuit breakers that would normally only take me a day and a half, but the rain and heat has stretched it to a week. The rain soaks you on the outside and you sweat like a pig from the inside. :frown:
Roll on Friday, cos I go on leave:biggrin:

yep hot here to and I am out mowing in this crap lol! Gonna be hotter tom though
I was semi smart, I mowed about 2/3rds last night. wish I'd been 1/3 smarter

If you think it's bad there, come on down about 500 or 600 miles to Hell's Southern Annex!

If I die here tonight and undoubtedly will go to hell any way, I'm going to bring a wool blanket to keep warm

Right now, our temp. is 99.9 and the heat index shows 121. Hot is hot, I don't care where you are.

I'm right behind you temp. 99.8 and heat index is 114. , steam is coming up off the lawn

I just mowed 4 days ago and bc of the 3 days of rain here I'm about to go out on the tractor to mow all over again! (100 friggin acres!!!)

I lived in vegas for about 8yrs...i love how everyone said "its a dry heat" my response was always "who cares! it's too damn hot!" The worst was going from 100% humidity to near 0%. It dries out your sinuses and I would get nose bleeds outta nowhere.

I was in Vegas the middle of August. 120's during the day. The soles of my shoes started melting if I stood still very long. One day I drove to the painted desert. Was crazy, every time I went around a turn, you could hear the tires howling.

I am freezing my ass off!! -4 degrees or less at night!!!! during the day we dont get out of the single digits.

The mountains are completely covered in snow!! SKI season is in full swing, so If anyone wants to escape that beautiful hot sun in the USA and come down to mirserable New Zealand  to cool off you have an open invitation for as long as I am here.

Ernie! Was it hot yesterday too? How about Monday? Was it hot Monday too? I might get out tomorrow if it's not too hot

You notice no one from TX is chiming in? Cause that's standard procedure down there... I just left there and moved east... Out of the Hurricane zone(not really) and into a tornado zone... last couple of days were in the 90's till the rain and wind came in the late afternoon. Today just low 90's and a little humidity - not that I notice it...

Atleast you're out of bed. Hope you're feeling better. I've been outside welding most of the afternoon. "I'm hot as hell, and can't take the heat anymore!!!"

Don't over do it! You don't get much warning. I may open the door tomorrow & check it out.

Ernie,

I like that John Fogerty song, never heard it before.

It is only in the mid 90s here, I spent the day servicing the motorhouse for a trip south tomorrow, I thought the heat would kill me today, going south might not be a smart idea.

That song was after he left CCR. One of my favorites from his solo career. Was made before I was born, I think.

We're looking at 106+ for the next few days here in central Calif. and I have work to do in the attic. All of the sudden working in the yard doesn't seem so bad.
