Decided to make up a batch of those magnet from cutoffs following the article in the library. But first I had to make the little chuck with screw to hold the blank. The first one I drilled on the lathe with the wood centered in my scroll chuck. I went to put the screw in and for some reason it came out off center. So I made a second one out of a harder wood, Ipe I think. Put the screw in and after it started the head snapped off.
Hole was pre-drilled to correct size on both of them. So I said the heck with the screw I will use double sided tape. That didn't hold so I tried to use hot glue. That worked a little better but still didn't hold. So I switched to a little CA which worked great until it came time to remove it which resulted in a broken top hat. So long story short - I managed to get one out of ten done in four hours and really raised my blood pressure. So what am I missing that makes this so easy?:frown:![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
