I thought I had seen a magazine on penturning at Barnes and Noble Last spring. I really wasn't into turning pens at the time but remember glancing through it. Am I just thinking about an article in Woodturning or is there a quarterly mag just for penturning? The article that I remember most was on using a Bic style refill for closed end pens but I can not remember how they did them or what the dimensions were. Thanks for any info on either the magazine and or the project I am trying to remember.

In the Fall 2007 magazine of Woodturning Design is an article call Whimsical Pens that shows how to make a closed end pen using a Bic sytle refill. I ordered the issue from www.Woodturningdesign.com
Not sure if this is the one your talking about. If you want; PM me with your address and I'll copy the article and send it to you. I know... BAD, probably breaking copyright laws..

So does More Woodturning, http://www.morewoodturning.net. In fact, the article is a regular monthly feature called "The Penturner's Corner" and is written by ... well, I can't remember the guy's name.

In addition, Woodturning Design has added a regular penturning feature column written by Kurt Hertzog. Kurt will write about all aspects of penturning and will tell us how to make our pens unique. Sorry, I can't remember the title of Kurt's column but it will be in addition to other pen articles.

Do a good turn daily!
Don
