We scattered my parents cremains under a pair of oak trees on a hill behind their house in Calabasas back in August. I picked up a few branches from under the trees and with the wonderful assistance of Kate Harrow who worked her magic by stabilizing the wood, was able to turn these pens for my kids, sisters and nieces. (There are 4 more pens off camera.)
