The beads certainly give it a bit more style. Of course, the Jasper was stylish. As far as difficulty 1-10 how hard was the initial set up and completion before you obviously mastered it?
 
Well, I tackled more than I should have with the red jasper on the first try. I ruined the first one because of the handle finial. Had to learn two set ups, one for the blade end and one for the finial,took about two hours total, to get the good one. The oak was much easier and I made the set in and hour and 20 minutes (not counting the lacquer finish). Once you find the right way to secure the drilled blade end for your system, its easy. I used a old drill bit backwards in my collet chuck to hold the blade end, with a saccrificial spacer. On the brush, I used an old bowl cutoff in my jaw chuck, turned a section the size of the hole drilled for the brush. Hope this helps.
