I bought a bunch of those mini M&M tubes over the recent holidays. I did pour some PR in 1 tube but it didn't work out too good for me. Not because the tube melted, but because of the extreme cold temp in the garage, it didn't cook correctly or shrink as pr normally does so I could get it out of the tube. Might give it a run this weekend if it is warm enough.

Yes, they work but.....
(1) when embedding things like snake skins or labels, one must be clever to keep the tube centered.
(2) The blank is sometimes difficult to remove.

Get the larger size (length), cut it in half and use the lid as the "other bottom" and you have two molds, so to speak.

I don't use them any more. Cast in blocks and cut into blanks or use gadget's molds. I think it is worth the $$ to bite the bullet and buy gadget's molds. How much time have I wasted trying different things for molds? I'm ashamed to say.

Do a good turn daily!

I'll take any of the excess m&ms if you guys don't know what to do with them[}:)] Heck, I would trade wood blanks for them. Just wish they would put them on the food pyramid! Just trying to help fellow penturners.
