Lynx & snowshoe

Very early this morning I took my 2 big dogs for a run before the temps go any lower.(.it was 4 below zero & windchill from hell, but due to be 20 below by late afternoon..) I saw the evidence of a lynx chasing a snowshoe hare..I followed the tracks as far as I could, but never found out whether the hare got away or the cat won...But I was thrilled to see the evidence these gorgeous cats are still here . I would have loved to see the cat, but they are so nocturnal & leery of human habitation, I feel my day was made, just seeing the tracks:biggrin:
