It happens to me periodically. Other times, the drop down menus begin about 2 inches below the menu bar. Often the problem goes away if I shut down my browser and restart it.

I'll give that a try, Thanks

I don't know, I tried everything I could think of last night, including turning my computer of and back on, nothing worked. I turned it off and went to bed, got up this morning, turned the computer on and everything works fine "SO FAR" [)]

On those occasions when this happens and I really, really, REALLY want to visit this site, I get in through the "Latest Posts". I can view all the different forums that way.

This happens because the menu uses javascript, and sometimes browsers get a little kink in their javascript hose and the bits quit coming out. I usually do a control-F5 to bypass the cache and reload the page. For me that also fixes that funky little problem of the submenus appearing an inch below the main menus and thus becoming unusable.

In Firefox, I've never had the menu disappear completely, but that vertical offset happens occasionally. In IE, I've had the menu quit responding, but the vertical shift has not happened.

I use Firefox also, but during all this I got an error message that said something to the effect that Firefox had been turned off. I restarted it this morning and everything worked fine, I must have hit the wrong key or something last night[:I]
