The world needs more Capt.John Keanes but it seems he was needed elsewhere.Prayers to your community.

Scott,

I always hate to see things like this. Somehow, a dedicated public servant dying needlessly in the course of his duties seems sadly unfair. As I pointed out to a friend whose husband died from cancer, it is better to have known a great person and lost them to never have known them at all.

Scott,

Written words always seem "hollow" in these circumstances. So, while our (Dawn and I) thoughts are with you, I hope you will accept my "echo" of Cav's sentiment. It is better to have had this friend (for too short a time) than never to have known him.

Stay strong and gain from your "memories".
