Have two requests for Lime Green, so I'm looking for a fairly opaque Lime Green.

I tried my hand at casting it myself, but wasn't satisfied with the results and it's too darn cold for me to try again now. (I do all mine outside)

I have cast lime green and hot pink together. Shouldn't be a problem to just cast the lime green. Want me to give it a try and send you a pic?

No nothing in it whatsoever other than the lime green? I doubt you'll find it in the retail market. Too boring, really. Ernie at www.beartoothwoods.com has really pretty stuff, but it had either a soft white or yellow or darker green or even blue going through it. I have never seen ANY solid color with no other color or some type of textural stuff in it, like cracked ice.

Might have to find someone who casts to get this one done. I'm getting a pot for Christmas, just so I can start fiddling with things I'd like to see.

Good Luck!

Mike, I hit the "post" button at the same instant Terry did! My thoughts would be that he or someone like him would be the best, and probably the ONLY way to go. Can you share what this person wants with just plain all lime green? How about dyeing some burled wood? I'm just wondering if you need it super quickly how you could satisfy this customer.

Keep us posted!

They just want a lime green pen :shrugs:. I pulled out one of the Gecko blanks and she said "that's nice, but I don't want the black in there".

I do cast myself, but since the weather has turned south I'm done til spring. I do all my casting outside since the fumes are so bad.

There is a buyer's syndrome called reciprocity where they feel an obligation to buy something, after having taken up some of your time. This often materializes as a stated desire to buy something you don't have…hence, the subconscious need to not look like a cheapskate is resolved.
In the mean time - maybe some Mother Earth, without the blue?

Mike I can't swear to it but the last time I was at Woodcraft it seems like they had several blanks in solid colors and lime was one of them.

Thanks guys, I have TD working on it.

Fortunately one of the people has three of my pens already, so I know the two she asked for are sold.

The other person I see regularly on the train also, so asking for something just top get out of buying wouldn't be the brightest idea. Then again, I don't think she is all that bright (if you heard some of the things that she has read and believed, you be amazed)
