Hello everyone, I recently joined and threw up some work in the introduction forum. Now that I got that out of the way there is something I'm hoping to find. I recently discovered https://www.uniquepenblanks.com/ and their film set blanks I made an order and plan to make some fun pens from these blanks but it got me thinking about gifts and things like that. Is there any other sites that sell blanks created from film set pieces?

It is coming up as an unsecure site on my computer so will not open. Need more explanation or example of pen with this blank to show us what you are asking.

No worries I understand not trusting a site like that. However this site has blanks made from set peices of various films/TV shows. One example that I can share is some penblanks made from peices of the original TARDIS used during Doctor Who and I have attached a photo below of the blanks plus a CoA they provide. The blanks come in both a typical 5 inch length and a 2.5 inch length depending on what part of the prop it came from. They also have blanks made from the set of Harry Potter and Oliver Twist. I'm looking for somewhere that has blanks made along a similar vein but perhaps located in the US.

I am able to access the site with no warnings. It looks like they sell blanks made from wood from old ships, submarines, etc. with certificates of authenticity.

Unique Pen Blanks ( https://www.uniquepenblanks.com ) is located in England. Most of their product is based on items from England or Scotland or Ireland. I have ordered quite a few items from them and their service and product are excellent. However, expect longer shipping times and a few dollars more than USPS.

In response to your request for an alternate source for film based blanks you might want to do a search of Historical Wood Blanks and More / Facebook. ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/613932708787657/ ) If you don't see anything that interests you, just post a request indicating what it is you are interested in and you should get a few responses. If you do a search of the site and find an old posting for some item, you can try sending the poster a private message asking if they have anything left from the old posting. Done this a few times and have had people rummage through their boxes in their garage and found an old blank or two.

Showing 50 or so members in Colorado from the members map. Once updated should show many more. Not aware of a specific pen group for Springs or south. Mr. Vic and I are in Pikes Peak Woodturners in Springs. Frontrange woodturners is in Denver their last demo was a kitless pen. Denver has over 200 members. Lots of pen turners in this group. Anybody have any information on the pen turning meetings in Loveland?

Over in my new member post I believe someone mentioned that there was a group that meets once a month at Woodcraft in Loveland Hopefully that gets you in the right direction
