I was out making my rounds looking for wood. Took a chance and drove down a hick road and stumbled across this. At first I didn't realize what I found. I figured it was some thing good the way the wood was cut and lined up. I found out it was Norfolk Island Pine. I'm just a pen maker so it didn't hit me rite away.
Any way seems like quite a find. It looks like a wood worker must have lived hear and left it abandon. I am going to collect it and bring it home. Perhaps I could offer it to some others in the area for a small fee or trade. It appears to be in fairly good shape. Looks like it's been there a wile well seasoned a little buggy but not bad. Look at the one that is on it's side that's the side that was on the ground and I put a bucket in for scale. They are about 30" across. I counted over 30 of them and more smaller ones in the pile.
These trees are very common. I see them every ware in peoples yards.
So do you think I should collect them. I plan on joining a local wood working club in January. This should make me pretty popular.
