I've been looking for some also. If I find any I'll let you know. If you find some, don't keep it a secret!

I use Omega at work, big $$$. I've tried finding one for here at home to play around with but have had very little luck. If you are wanting to do just a logo, Google SignGo. It is sign making shareware software but you can download it and use it free for 30 days.

GIMP is a photoshop work alike and is free: http://www.gimp.org
Don't know if this is what you are looking for or not. I use photoshop to build the logo labels for the logo/label pens I make. Gimp will do most anything that photoshop will do from what I understand.

Google SketchUp: http://sketchup.google.com

Maybe this will help out:

http://www.logomaker.com/

Good luck.
Do a good turn daily!
Don

I have done the same search with no luck. I have tried dozens of trials and freebies and none where worth a darn. I always end up going back to Photoshop. Please post if you find anything any good.

I agree with Don about using GIMP. One of the things I like about it, other than it being like photoshop, is that it works on both windows and linux... and the free part is the best part of all lol

Type in osalt.com and do a search. There are free versions of most software including photoshop. If you don't like that site just do a search for open source software and choose from the list. I never pay for software anymore.
Good luck

Thanks for the link!!! I went and downloaded Inkscape! Awesome program, especially for the price. It is comparable to the Omega I use at work. I recommend this program for those wanting to desgin logos, decals, signs and such. It is vector based and even if you do not have the capabilities to output your own designs, you can take them to a printer or sign maker and off ya go!! Being vector based, you can trace over an image (or draw freehand) and then have the ability to fine tune your tracing or drawing down to the smallest of elements within the art work. It is an easy, straight forward program.
