Well, I think LOML drew a line today......Is drew</u> a word?? Anyway, one of my cats was playing with something today and I saw it was a lizard, almost dead:( I put in the bushes on the other side of the fence. Went and checked about an hour later and it was flipped upside down.....way dead. I brought it back in the house and asked LOML if it wouldn't make a good looking pen... I got the eye roll, I knew I had gone too far:(:D

Becca, one of the first things I learned in the military was to beg forgiveness rather than ask permission. Next time, cast the lizard in resin, turn him, then ask whether or not it would make a good pen.[:)]

That wooda been way too cool. But you will have to do it, 'cause LOML would have given me way more than a roll of the eyes, lol[}:)]

Becca, I know what you mean, last week LOML was skining (I guess thats what you call it) some white onions and the outside flakey skin was on the cuttinboard and she was about the dispose of it and I stopped her and and put it in a bag and started out to the shop. She looked at me with squnited eyes and said "the compactor is full of s--- you might be intrested in to cast". I almost opened it to look!

Tech Tip: A lizard is not a good candidate for pen material because the tail beats you in the face when you turn the lathe on. Also, getting the tube hole centered is really tricky. DAMHIKT.[}:)]

LOL or your "friend" did it?

What my husband knew but I didn't reveal to you all is, he knew he would be the one to cutngut the little guy and then figure out how to prep for a pen, hence the eye roll. I'm assuming it would be much like snake.

Hmmmm interesting concept! When I get my casting molds I might have to try something to that effect
