Hello All,
I don't know if this belongs here or in marketing and shows... may list in both..
Yesterday I received 2 emails from companies that propose listing my website on directories. One is a pay for the listing site... $60 peer year and claims to have "Art lovers, interior designers, corporations, movie studios, collectors, banks, and music industry insiders are just a few who are regular visitors" that visit their site regularly.

The other says that my site has been approved for listing and when I go to their new listings, I am in fact listed on the site.. (albeit, they've listed my old site name, but with a link to the new site) and they are asking for a reciprocal link to their directory. I can't see anywhere where there is mention of a fee, but I'm leery of most no cost - free - deals that is supposed to help promote a business.

I did see several other sites on these listing that I recognized and several were IAP members.
Does anyone know anything about these directories, what are your impressions and thoughts on the matter.
If it's legitimate, could be a help, but none of us want to be associated with something that might be disreputable.
