Well, it is official for all us Packer fans. Brett has told the Packers that he intends to retire. I knew this day would come, but with how well last year went, I didn't expect it would be this year. I am feeling a little weird at the moment. Something in the pit of my stomach. Funny thing is I just happen to wear a Packer shirt to work today. I guess that Sunday craft shows in Wisconsin will do better next fall.

Cheer up, Chris!!!

Young team, couple good draft picks (for a change) and a ton of money under the salary cap, can't be all bad.

I watched Bart Starr get old on the field, Lynn Dickey look like crap, then "Magic" Majkowski get injured and never come back. Brett is retiring at a good time for him and, I think, history will record it as a good time for the Packers --- IF they draft decently in the next two years. There will be a lot more pressure on McCarthy, whether he realizes it yet, or not. Brett took the heat when the team lost, now it will all go to the coach!!!

Should be an interesting couple of years - something worth watching!!

Oh, even when the Pack was losing every weekend, there were NO people at Wisconsin craft shows opposite a game. If the Bears suck, do shows in Chicago, they only follow the games when the Bears are winning (they DID do that, years ago!!)

It is official HE## has frozen over. This headline (Packers' Favre to retire after 17 seasons
3-time MVP won Super Bowl in '97, set records for most wins, yards, TDs) and our LOVELY (NOT SO MUCH SO) Indiana weather would just seem to confirm it. SIGH next to Peyton Favre is my favorite. Guess I have to find a new one now.... It WON'T be Brady!!!

Linda, that is just mean!! My wife won't even go in my shop and she hates sports. Mike is far luckier than he deserves!!!

Michael Vick[?][?][?]

An interesting choice to follow a class act.

Don't worry, even the Packers aren't that stupid. Green Bay is a very small town, Vick wouldn't last long.

I'll bet there are many defensive backs that are unhappy that they'll have less interceptions with Favre gone.[)] He's a great quarterback, he just beat my Vikings too many times.[:0]

Oh no it has to be Cleveland afterall they have the dog pound[}:)]. I can't belive I said that:D;).

Someone will pick Vick up when he gets out, too bad. Some teams have no class.

My money goes to the Raiders for that bet ;)

I resisted the temptation... figured someone else would take the bait;)

The Brownies just signed a class act from the NW to a three year deal...:D

I think three years community service with a dog walking service in Nova Scotia would be great rehab... He just might be ready to assimilate into society then...[}:)]

Hey now you got give Rodgers a chance.[8D]

That's if he can last more than one game without getting hurt.

I didn't get emotional until I got home and had to tell my 7 year old son that Brett wasn't playing any longer. While I loved the Superbowl years, this last year was my favorite because my son loved watching the games with me. He would run and do a Lambeau Leap on to me every time the Packers scored a TD. Hopefully A-Rod will be able to throw a few this year.
