This is my first attempt at what I call LL/PC (Laser Leftover/Polymer Clay) blank.

The pen kit is Diplomat II Gunmetal.

I got the laser leftover (LL) from exoticblanks.com. The LL came as dyed (I think) blue. I did not do anything to the LL.

I CA glued the tube in the LL, filled or puttied the cutouts with white Sculpey PC, baked the blank in a toaster oven at 275 degrees F for 15 minutes, cooled off, turned down to size, finished with 2 coats of thin CA, 2 coats of medium CA (buffed with 0000 steel wool between coats), and polished with HUT twice.

I still have lots to learn about PC. At close inspection, there are voids (air pockets) in the PC. I should have conditioned the PC more before I puttied LL.

Thanks for looking. Comments are welcome.

Woah!!! That is brilliant! I've had fair results with casting, so I wasn't sure if I could do anything with the laser leftovers, but I think I could do that!!

Fabulous idea!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Hey Brandon,

How about "Clay Pigeon Holes"??

Hi Ed, clay pigeon holes technique. I like it.

Very cool pen love it that you filled in the holes with PC, just brilliant!!

It is not millefiori, just "clay pigeon holing". But still ... I have been "Toni Approved".
