laser engraving

I posted this under pen turning, let me ask here as well:

Is there anyone in the D.C. area that could laser engrave some initials on a pen for me before Christmas? I've got a last minute order and they'd like to have it engraved. I'll turn the pen tonight and was thinking maybe I still have time to have it engarved over the next few days...
I live west of D.C. in Chantilly basically.

obviously way too late to help out with this request but i do have access to a laser engraver at Andrews. i've never engraved a pen but i could probably figure it out for the future.

well, i figured it out. i use the rotating jig that came with the engraver. then i mount the pen on a mandrel with same size home made bushings and poof!@# engravings.

If this is still an issue, there's a guy named Nate at the Woodcraft in Springfield, VA who does laser engraving. His prices are reasonable, as well...
