For those that have a laser....

Can a laser be used to cut holes in 4 inch foam? I would like to have a series of 3/4 inch holes cut into a block of foam.

Thanks for the info.

Exactly right Ken. Lasers have a wide beam, sometimes around 3/8" that gets focused down to a small spot by a lens. The usual focal lengths are 1.5" or 2". Once you get past the focal point, the beam spreads out in a cone shape, so will lose intensity and spread way out. Depending on the foam, a hot wire could possibly work or it could be milled or drilled.
