Is CA the glue of choice for laminated/segmented blanks or is something else better? I have some thin" boards on hand and would like to give it a try. Also, are there any woods that don't like each other? I know to keep the densities close for ease of turning, but are there other factors? Should I align grain or cross grain?

Did a search in the library for laminating but did not get any hits.

thanks

Give it a shot Cav!

If it looks good, show us. If it don't, hide it.
Besides, it's just wood, the stuff grows on trees.
What have you got to lose?

For pens I think CA works fine, on certain types up glue ups I use yellow glue.

Yes and no.
Some wood looks better together than other woods. I would not mix hardwood with softwood.

I would align the grain. But since the wood is so thin I wouldn't worry to much about densities. I would pay attention with gluing oily wood like cocobolo to maple.
