While rummaging through some of my "How To" books, I came across one by a guy from the UK named: John Sainsbury-title "Turning Minatures in Wood." As father of three daughters, G'Pa to about 6 G'Daughters- and now G'G' Daughters, I have needed & still need to make many doll houses w/ furnishings & details... that's another story...This guy shows some 'lace bobbins,' many w/ pretty fancy workmanship...but his descriptive info- i.e. sizes, critical areas for the thread etc; nada...just wondering if any of you are making them/or know where more detailed info may be observed. all the sites I have found are those of makers who are in the biz...you know the rest of that story...they show their wares/but are not training their competition. Not that I blame them...however there seems to be a need and another craft market option...I'm thinking Skiprat may have some insight...
