I was at Rockler this morning, and every employee I spoke with was excited and eager to talk. Its really nice to see people with a passion for what they do. One fellow I spoke with noticed I was looking at pen blanks, and asked if I was interested in pen turning. You can imagine the lengthy conversation that ensued! He pulled out a pen that he had recently turned. It was made of snakewood dressed in a chrome slimline. (And not unexpectedly, there was a crack in it right near the finial. Dang you, snakewood...) Needless to say, I walked out of there with not only some new material, but also a smile on my face. Some things just don't have a price tag on them.[^]
