..is this weekend, 24-25 October (in Hickory, NC), and I was wondering if anyone from the Southeast region might be going...?

As with last year, personal and (my wife's) professional schedule conflicts require that I use up a vacation day and go on Friday rather than Saturday, so I may end up missing anyone who might not be similarly constrained...

Which Hickory is it, the one in the east part of the state or the west part of the state?
