First I started with the Ketchup lathe, over two years ago now.

Then, I won the Relish lathe during the recent IAP Birthday Bash.

You know where this is going, right? ;) I've been sitting on this gloat for a while, got her back in March but kept her presence under wraps until after the picnic. So here she is, the Mustard lathe. :D

Once I get some lessons from Frank S. on finish turning bowl roughouts, I'll be posting the results in the Other things we make forum.

Cheers,

Look like "Full bottles of Ketchup,Relish & Mustard." Can't even see a sign of dust on any of them--or anything around them. OH, I know--you just can't decide which one to get dusty.[)] Not even any dust behind ol mustard where the studs meet base plate. Need some help putting them to use? Just kiddin... Lucky feller

While I relish the thought of mustard in my shop, it'll be a while before I can ketchup. Until then I'll settle for my mayo Jet mini.

Nice gloat :D

I made a few chips on the relish yesterday. Felt guilty doing it. I will make a bet there is no trace of the chips or dust in his shop today :)

They all look clean as they were just put back in place before the photos were taken. I had to remove the K and R lathes to move the table they were on to make room for the M lathe. Took a photo of the M lathe before I even got the anti-fatigue mats put back down on the floor. It has since been used for several bowl rough-outs. I sold the K lathe to make more room on the work bench, so I'm back down to two lathes, which should be plenty for me. [:p]

Haven't cleaned up the shop since the picnic, so some of your chips are down there Chuck Key, and some of the ebonite from the "community" fountain pen, as well as some buffing dust from jthompson1995's mandrel-less turning of his version of the arctic fern pen. I'll get to it in the next few evenings, just as soon as I get some shop time.

:)

Actually, now that I look at the photo of the Mustard Monster, I hadn't even run power to it yet or wired in the remote switch when that photo was taken. [:I]

I don't do well winning big ticket items, mostly a lot of smaller items (sub $500). I did not win the Powermatic, that was purchased with my yearly bonus plus a bit. Got a smoking deal from toolnut.com that I couldn't pass up. [8D] So I'll pass on the lottery tickets, but I'm still hopeful that the Prize Patrol will visit my house. [:p]

If you want to try your hand at winning a Powermatic, the AAW is holding a fund raising raffle.

well HOT DOG! they were that clean Saturday, I'm not usually sure exactly where my lathes are other than the bumps in the chips! I guess your next purchase will have to be the ONION-way;)!

Only because of the picnic, Jon, were they that clean. The table behind the Relish was quite a different story. [:I] I need to get the peg board hung back up so I have a place to hang and organize my tools. And I jumped over all the middle sized lathes with the idea that this is the last lathe I'll need to buy. So unless it goes belly up and can't be fixed, I don't see any Onion in my future. ;) Now extension beds and accessories are a whole other ballgame (shhhh, don't tell the wife...). [}:)]
