Tried my first casting in my HF pressure pot. Since the thing has a curved bottom, the mold rack has shifted on me a few times and the resin has run out of one end or side of the mold. What do you do to prevent this problem? Thought about putting some sand in the bottom, but afraid of the dust storm when pressurizing.

TIA

Pour some resin in the bottom to make it level and let it cure. No need to worry about pressurizing it as the bubbles wont matter.

Cut a 1/4" plywood circle that just fits inside of the pot. I attached a couple of dowels to each side. This way I can pick the molds out of the tank on the plywood rather than mold alone.

This will sit level in the bottom as it will level itself on each of the edges.....

That's how I do it with each of mine. I have many inserts for mine.

Curtis (MesquiteMan) has a plan for a mold jig on his website that I'm sure can be easily adopted to fit any pressure pot.
