Good day everyone, I am farly new to this site and think its great. I dont think there is a section I havent looked at or read. You all have helped me a lot. I am farly new to pen turning only for about 2 years now. Its the best way to relax. I have done many pens now and have given most of them as gifts. After a few weeks of use they seem to come apart, the clips start to spin then the the top cap comes out. or with the click pens the tip pops off. How can I keep them together? I have glued a few of them but they still seem to come apart. Are there diffrent quality pen kits? Am I just buying cheep kits? please help!
Thanks everyons

Hey Staff Sergeant, (AF...?)

I've heard people use a bit of CA or loctite to resolve this issue; however, it will be more than just adding CA. Remember just like the tubes you'll want to skuff up the hidden part that will set into the tube to make contact secure. Not sure the type of kit's you're using, but I'm guessing slimline or something like that...? I've only purchased the Majestic, Statesman, and Zen lines and to date I've not had an issue. List the types of kits you're having issues with and I'm sure people will chime in.

Take it easy and best wishes

Staff Sergeant United States Marines. A lot of my kits have been slim line, and push button click pen. I'll try the lock tight, and scuffing up the hidden parts. Thanks guys.
