and hope not anyone looses their life in the mess hitting our Gulf coast. Was out this eve turning a couple of pens. Have a 5 gal bucket by the door in the shop to park the butt on just outside for those break times. 7:30--8:00pm, clear sky, 3/4 moon, nice breeze out of the West. Just like heaven. Just how lucky I am to sit there & enjoy. Except the mind kept wandering toward the problems so many others are having & going to have. And they will last those folks a long time. It's not just for the moment or a few hours. It can hurt for years. Am glad I'm not in their shoes. Yea, we bellyache about the 112 - 116 deg heat but that isn't really that bad now that it has passed for the year. Doesn't take much of an imagination to figure what many of them are going thru. The problem is is those that stay in harms way then expect rescue workers to come save them. 15 people on top a church? That isn't the 'saving' that place is for. Now men & choppers have to take the risk to get to them. I know how those type [rescue & firefighters] feel. Proud to do what ever needs to be done. But get mighty aggravated when it is brought on because of stupidity. I retired from the volunteer fire dept a few years ago after 28 yrs. Engineer. 6 years before that in another town. { gotta brag a little. We are -were-the only volunteer F.D in the USA with a class 4 rating in everything we covered. Think they still are.} But the point is. If it's that bad, why risk someone elses life. Lets all hope everyone comes out of this alive. Guess it isn't so bad being a "zonie' after all.
