Here's my first one of these. Wood is zebra wood with just an old fashioned friction polish. I opted to add some o rings for gripping and it feels pretty good in my hand. I also opted to ditch the plastic cover and add a matching one. The original Bullseye Apollo mandrel make a very decent jam chuck to do the closed end cover.

Ken, that looks just great, liking your idea with the O rings.

You have a nice collection of blanks in the background too.

Here's two more. Nixed the o rings and just cut finger grips into the wood, both stabilized and dyed maple. Stock caps. Significant other already claimed the red one. I think I like these better than the o ring version.

yes, i would find the o-rings a distraction.

I do like the carved rings better than the O-Rings. They look great.
 
All are very nice looking. That zebra stripe one is fantastic looking with that matching cap.
 
That looks great ken. I wondered when someone was going the make their own cap for a knife. Great job!
