I made one egg kaleidoscope last week and 4 more yesterday. Considering I've got about $20 in material including the stand, I'm thinking about charging $50-$60 each for them . Those of you that make and sell the egg kaleidoscopes, what is the price range you charge for them?

It has been about two years that I have been selling them. I was charging in the 60.00 range and had good sales. My biggest problem was to educate people as to what a Kaleidoscope was. I was also making the wand scopes had a lot wanting to buy them because they thought they were bongs.

I made some for the grands and decided to not try selling them. The reason is as you mention, to get a decent profit the price places them out of what the market will pay, IMHO. And, they are 24K plating that wears off quickly. A $50 or $60 item should remain nice and look like a quality item for many years. Plus, getting those mirrors in a perfect triangle to fit in the tube is a pain in the bizinkess [}:)] that I don't like messing with. [;)]
